One duvet has a slightly heavier filling, which is suitable for Autumn and Spring. The connecting one has a lighter filling, which is ideal for summer. The two duvets can be buttoned together for the winter, giving the full filling weight, protection, and comfort of the 80/20 duvet inner. This inner has a fill power of 600, making for a luxuriously lightweight yet well-insulated duvet inner.
